Its been a funny 2017 so far we sold 6 cars in the first week back then 10 more over the rest of the month so to say we started the year on a high is an understatement. However things have slowed a bit in Febuary but we are still seeing decent activity. The main problem for us is sourcing decent cars that we can sell with our warranty and as the car are getting older we are spending more and more on prep. I think most dealers are having the same problem the only saving grace for us is having our own onsite mechanics so can carry out work needed at realistic costs. I dont know how dealers who need to farm the work out can absorb the extra costs. We expect the rest of the year to pretty much reflect last year which was overall a very good year for sales apart from the first few weeks after Brexit when it felt like all bets were of the table and business just stopped, very strange, but within 3 weeks it came back with a vengeance and we could not get enough cars to sell and carried on strongly over the rest of the year. I think people realised it was not armaggedon and every one just carried on. I will update as the teay progesses but we are confident it will be another strong year. As to what is happening with prices is anybodies guess we are seeing the 996 appreciating fairly strongly especially the S models and Turbos. The 993/964/3.2 seem to have stalled a bit, they are not tumbling in price and I doubt they will but they rose too quickly for my liking so I think prices will weaken a bit maybe 10% or so then plateau for a few years, I could be wrong but over the years I have generally read the market right.
