As with all our 997s we carried out a bore check its all clear apart from mild scoring on cylinder 6 probably no worse than the majority of Gen 1 cars out there with no outward symptoms.

Not yet to the stage of needing an engine rebuild far from it and it drives superbly.

We have priced it very sensibly and if and when it needs an engine rebuild we we will cap the cost at 5k with no time limit to our buyer and it will still be a sensibly priced car especially for a manual as they are holding their values exceptionaly well .

We have sold a few cars on this basis recently as unfortunately the majority of the cars we look at have some form of bore scoring we figured its a shame not to buy them and sell them on at a lower price with full disclosure with the engine rebuild cap as once done they are simply awesome cars
We only do this with cars that have very mild scoring on one or two cylinders as they can go on for thousands of miles with no issues ie knocking heavy smoking on start up .
